Bitrise Names Pablo Pinillos Its New Chief Financial Officer

Former Qlik Executive Joins The Y-Combinator Backed Mobile DevOps Company To Drive Operational Efficiency As It Scales and Experiences Rapid Global Growth

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Bitrise, the Mobile DevOps company that the world’s most well-known companies rely on to get mobile apps and updates to market faster, today announced Pablo Pinillos as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Pinillos joins Bitrise after serving as VP of Strategic Growth & Business Transformation at Qlik, where he led key initiatives to accelerate the company’s growth, including its transformation to a SaaS model, and headed its acquisition process by Thoma Bravo. As CFO, Pinillos will focus on scaling Bitrise’s team and operations globally, and introducing new efficiencies, to account for the company’s rapid growth.

Bitrise’s technology helps mobile teams increase their speed-to-market and minimize potential negative end-user experiences in order to successfully drive business success. Over the past year, the rate of mobile adoption has accelerated the equivalent of two to three years. Mobile technology requirements are also changing rapidly, increasing the need for speed and constant adaptation by mobile organizations. In June, the company announced its enterprise-grade Mobile DevOps platform which increases the speed of every continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) process that runs on its technology. Bitrise currently has more than 6,000 global customers and 100,000+ users, and its technology is in use by half of all unicorn startups.

It is against this backdrop that Pinillos joins Bitrise. Pinillos has nearly two decades of financial experience and specializes in driving business growth through strategy, operations, and technology. To support Bitrise’s hypergrowth, Pinillos will lead the creation and execution of the global strategy behind the company’s investments, strategic relationships and financial growth. Pinillos also seeks to improve efficiencies across the organization to drive success and maximize growth.

“Our primary focus is to ensure that world-class mobile engineering teams can experiment with - and adopt - new technologies easily and without friction,” said Barnabas Birmacher, CEO of Bitrise. “Pablo’s experience will be instrumental to our business growth and transformation into a one-screen solution for managing all mobile processes, builds and workflows.”

“Bitrise’s unique approach to mobile app development is driving the transformation of companies to become mobile-first or mobile only, as mobile apps continue to become the primary way that users interact with companies,” said Pinillos. “I’m looking forward to leading this next stage of growth for Bitrise as we continue to help development teams build, test, and deploy quickly for mobile.”

Prior to his 14 years at Qlik, Pinillos held senior financial roles at ABYO S.A. and Protec France.
