SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InformationWeek, the world’s most trusted business technology resource, and Network Computing, the trusted resource for IT architects and engineers, today announces technology thought leader Sara Peters has been named Editor-in-Chief.
As Editor-in-Chief, Peters will manage the day to day operations of both InformationWeek and Network Computing. Peters will also be responsible for creating a new InformationWeek advisory board; overseeing the InformationWeek site redesign; bolstering cybersecurity coverage to help CIOs better assess and address risk; increasing infrastructure and networking coverage to help CIOs and IT leaders to adapt to disperse workforces; and better serving the financial services industry. Peters will strengthen InformationWeek and Network Computing’s connection to the Informa Tech’s Enterprise IT Group by drawing the deep insights of Omdia research and will participate in conference programs such as Interop and Data Center World.
Peters will report to Bill Morelli, Senior Director, IT and Data Center Content for Informa’s Enterprise IT Group. “With two decades of media expertise, Sara understands the importance of original reporting, careful research and unbiased news,” said Morelli. “With innovative ideas on how to evolve InformationWeek and Network Computing, Sara will lead our growth as IT professionals emerge from the global pandemic. We are excited to welcome Sara to the team.”
With more than 20 years of editorial and journalism expertise, Peters’ previous experience spans a range of editorial roles in technology media. Peters was most recently the Features Editor at Dark Reading where she covered cybersecurity and produced news and commentary – in both video and written pieces – for information security professionals, anchored live video news desks at Black Hat USA and Interop and moderated conference sessions at conferences around the world.
Earlier in her career, she was Senior Editor of the Computer Security Institute where she developed content strategy for publications, live conferences, virtual conferences and online content about virtualization, identity management, cybersecurity law, and a myriad of other topics. Previously, Peters was Editor-in-Chief of Enterprise Efficiency, which brought together a participative community of business technology leaders and executive decision makers to exchange and share peer ideas, experiences and perspective on business technology issues and opportunities.
