BOZEMAN, Mont.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wisetail, a leader in learning engagement and management software that builds companies into communities, today announced that One Montana is the winner of its 2020 Wisetail Works Grant. The nonprofit works to sustain a vibrant Montana by identifying and resolving challenging social, economic and environmental issues that impact the state's diverse communities.
One Montana works throughout the state with stakeholders in rural and urban areas to help their communities become more resilient and sustainable as Montana grows and changes over time. The organization has worked for more than 15 years building trust and implementing creative programs that maintain agriculture and working lands, supporting private land stewardship and preserving Montana’s cultural heritage.
One Montana accomplishes these goals primarily through two programs: Common Ground and the Montana Way. Common Ground is a three-pronged program that includes advanced hunter education, local food processing and a landowner education and resource network. The Montana Way is the nonprofit’s platform for education, communication, stewardship and sustaining cultural values.
As the winner of the 2020 Wisetail Works Grant, One Montana will receive a free license to Wisetail’s learning management system (LMS). With its new LMS, One Montana will begin ramping up all of its initiatives, including providing a one-stop shop for its landowner partners and providing easier course management and recertification tracking for its Master Hunter Program. The organization’s goals are to more than double the number of participants in the hunting program and grow the landowner partner program by tenfold.
“One Montana perfectly embodies what the Wisetail Works Grant stands for,” said Ali Knapp, president, Wisetail. “The organization’s commitment to preserving the state of Montana produces real, positive impacts in the community, and it is exactly the kind of initiative we want to support with our grant. We look forward to working closely with One Montana and seeing the fruits of their hard work.”
“One Montana is truly honored and grateful to have received this grant from Wisetail Works,” said Sarah Tilt, executive director at One Montana. “The Wisetail LMS will not only help us to better manage our courses and learners, but it also provides a unique opportunity to create a community that can gather and learn from one another online and help us to better meet our mission to connect urban and rural communities.”
