MetroNet Names Dave Heimbach President and Chief Operating Officer

EVANSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MetroNet, Inc., today announced that Dave Heimbach will join the fast-growing company as President and Chief Operating Officer effective July 5, 2021. Heimbach is currently Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Shenandoah Telecommunications Company, DBA Shentel (NASDAQ: SHEN), which operates wireless, cable and fiber optic networks in portions of Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

At Shentel, Heimbach led the sale of the company’s wireless affiliate business to T-Mobile, and the transformation of Shentel into a high-growth regional broadband company focused on fiber and fixed wireless broadband expansion. Prior to Shentel, Heimbach was Chief Operating Officer of Colorado-based Rise Broadband and currently serves as a Board Member of ACA Connects, an industry association. Prior to Rise, Heimbach led multiple business units for Cincinnati Bell, eventually serving as Chief Operating Officer.
