TDOT Approves TRUX as Qualified E-Ticketing Software Product

Robust solution developed to meet needs of material producers, contractors, and DOT inspectors in Tennessee

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TRUX™, the leader in dump truck logistics technology, today announced it was named as a qualified e‐Ticketing software product by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). As an approved vendor, TRUX has shown a capacity for meeting Special Provision 109ETAS, which has strict standards for automatic ticket generation and data storage. These standards include:

  • Must be automatically generated and integrated with the scales
  • Must contain all required information normally found on tickets
  • System must maintain data through loss of signal
  • Data in the system must be secure
  • Must be accessible to TDOT at any time during the placement of the mixture

TRUX’s approval as a qualified e-Ticketing software product solidifies its commitment to making e-Ticketing a standard within the trucking industry. Having been at the forefront of the transition to e-Ticketing, Tennessee has developed necessary requirements that will be critical for states that don’t currently have specific e-Ticketing guidelines to emulate.

“Achieving this approval less than a year after launching our Contactless Ticketing functionality is a fantastic accomplishment for our organization,” said Bart Ronan, CEO of TRUX. “From the start, we worked closely with TDOT to ensure that our product is able to meet the needs of material producers, contractors, and DOT inspectors throughout the state. E-Ticketing will only continue to grow in our industry, and we’re thrilled to be at the forefront of its adoption.”

TDOT is one of several state departments of transportation TRUX is working with to implement its e-Ticketing solution for widespread use. TRUX’s contactless ticketing solution meets established requirements from the leading state DOTs across the country for digital ticketing, ensuring full conformance with modern regulations.
