Innovative Pharmacy Provider AlixaRx Cooperates With DOJ to Resolve Alleged Violations

PLANO, Texas--()--AlixaRx is pleased to announce that the Company, after fully cooperating with the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”), has reached a Settlement Agreement to resolve certain matters related to alleged violations at the Company’s Norcross, GA pharmacy, which was closed for unrelated business reasons in February 2020. The investigation was based on events alleged to have occurred from 2014 through 2017. AlixaRx contests the allegations and has not agreed to liability, but instead made a business decision to settle these matters. The Settlement Agreement requires a payment by AlixaRx to the Department of Justice in the sum of two million seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($2.75M). The Settlement Agreement does not require a Corporate Integrity Agreement.

AlixaRx is satisfied with the conclusion of this matter and continues to require its pharmacies to comply with all relevant laws and regulations in an industry highly regulated by the FDA, DEA, state Boards of Pharmacy, and other regulatory authorities. Ethics and integrity are core principles to which the Company is committed as we carry out our mission of providing highly innovative, automated pharmacy services that improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and improve efficiencies.
