DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lowe, a national real estate developer, investor and manager, announced today the formation of a new division, Skye Commercial, a Denver-based full-service commercial brokerage firm representing owners and occupiers and focused on office, retail, industrial and hotel properties. Skye is led by Alec Wynne, who brings more than 22 years of experience in commercial real estate to his new role as Managing Broker.
“Creating an independent brokerage company continues Lowe’s initiative to build a differentiated, full-service commercial real estate platform that prioritizes personalized client service and that values customization,” said Mike Lowe, co-CEO of Lowe.
Lowe is an experienced owner, developer and operator of all types of commercial real estate including office, industrial, multifamily, retail and hospitality assets. In addition to Skye Commercial, its businesses include a property management company, Hospitality at Work®; a specialized hotel and resort management company, CoralTree Hospitality and an affordable housing investor and developer, Concord Communities. In 2019, Hospitality at Work acquired Denver-based Rise Commercial, whose brokerage team will now be part of Skye Commercial.
“Alec is a highly respected industry professional who is well suited to guide Skye Commercial and build on our mission of creating a high-touch, customer-focused brokerage firm that will succeed by bringing a model of diversity and teamwork to its engagements,” said Marty Caverly, executive vice president, Lowe.
Most recently, Wynne was Managing Director and Principal at Ascendant Realty. Previously he was Managing Director of the Denver office of Avison Young, which he opened in December of 2012 with a team of 11 professionals and quickly grew to 26 professionals under his leadership. Wynne has represented owners and tenants of commercial real estate in markets across the U.S. and globally. During his long career working with major national corporations and institutions, Wynne has worked on property sales and lease transactions totaling over 7 million square feet with a value of $3 billion.
“Skye Commercial will share the same values and high standards established by Lowe, which is a highly regarded national commercial real estate company. A focus on integrity, customer-service and spirit of teamwork permeates all of Lowe’s businesses and forms the foundation of Skye Commercial. Each client will benefit from the insights of our entire team of professionals, which we believe is a strong differentiator for our business that customers will value,” noted Wynne.
Joining Wynne at Skye are Terrence Pace, Senior Director, formerly of Jones Lang LaSalle and CJ Valencia, Associate Director, from Ascendant Realty, as well as Bill Woodward and Linda Ka, both from Rise Commercial. Skye Commercial will be located in Denver, providing services to businesses throughout Colorado.
Lowe has a long-history in Denver, maintaining a regional office there since 1985. The firm currently operates approximately four million square feet of commercial space in the Denver area.
