ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCYTHE, a leader in adversarial emulation, today announced its keynote lineup for its second annual UniCon Conference, a free conference for security researchers, developers, red, blue, and purple teams taking place virtually on April 9, National Unicorn Day. UniCon exemplifies the idea of togetherness tied to our commitment to create a better product by learning from partners and clients. The conference will be live streamed on YouTube at https://youtu.be/4WUauzWKa9M.
"Our design philosophy was built on the concept of community,” said Bryson Bort, CEO and Founder, SCYTHE. “No person, no team, no organization can possibly keep up with the latest innovations in what’s possible in offensive security. It is only as a community that we do our best at achieving the goal of staying ahead of attackers together. UniCon is our event to bring the community together and share those insights from the frontlines of what’s working for all of us."
Acclaimed keynote speakers include Dmitri Alperovitch, Co-Founder & Former CTO CrowdStrike, and Dave Kennedy, Founder of Binary Defense and TrustedSec. In addition, Megan Samford, VP, Chief Product Security Officer (CPSO) at Schneider Electric, will be moderating a panel on “How to Conduct Security Assessments on Critical Infrastructure.“
Magen Wu, Urbane Security, will close out the conference with a fireside chat, “Defense Protection to Mitigate Occupational Burnout,“ with Elizabeth Wharton, Chief of Staff, SCYTHE.
Ron Gula and Cyndi Gula of the Gula Tech Foundation will be making appearances throughout the day between talks, introducing winners of the last grant with each given a chance to pitch their organization. The Gula Tech Foundation amplifies the impact of cybersecurity nonprofit organizations and operates a $1M competitive grant process multiple times a year. Each quarter, they focus on a specific cybersecurity theme and grant winners receive a financial donation and wave the opportunity to participate in an all-expenses-paid marketing program to elevate public awareness of their organization.
The January 2021 grant program invited nonprofits to propose projects to increase African American engagement with cybersecurity. The three winners were Black Cybersecurity Association, NPower Inc and Girlsecurity.
Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the most magical, exciting, and interactive Cyber Conference of the year.
