Ardeo Education Foundation President Named Interim President of Rhodes College

Education visionary and innovative leader Carroll Stevens tapped to lead during transition year

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--()--Ardeo Education Solutions, a mission-driven company increasing student access to higher education, today announced that Carroll D. Stevens, president of the Ardeo Education Foundation, has been named interim president of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. Widely recognized as one of the country’s top education innovators, Stevens is a current member of the Rhodes College Board of Trustees and has served as president of the company foundation of Ardeo Education Solutions since 2013.

Stevens’ extensive background has distinguished him as one of the country’s top innovators in education. He has held a number of leadership and advisory roles at education companies and nonprofits in areas of technology, management consulting, and college affordability and access. Stevens was instrumental in the development of Ardeo’s innovative loan repayment assistance program (LRAP), leveraging strategic insights from his experiences as Associate Dean of Yale Law School and his work pioneering the school’s Career Options Assistance Program (COAP).

Stevens recently served as Vice President for Advancement at Claremont McKenna College, one of the nation’s foremost liberal arts colleges. From 1987 to 2005, he was Associate Dean of the Yale University School of Law, and prior to that Associate Dean of the College of Law at the University of Kentucky. Stevens holds a B.A. degree from Georgetown College and a J.D. degree from the University of Kentucky. He was awarded the degree Doctor of Laws honoris causa in 2006 by Georgetown and is an Honorary Fellow at Regent Park College of Oxford University.
