Located at 109 Montague Street and designed in collaboration with Very Truly Yours, Oula’s new 2,000 square-foot facility will be home to a full range of pregnancy care services — from prenatal, to delivery, to postnatal support — via a multidisciplinary clinical care team of midwives and obstetricians.
The brick-and-mortar location now serves as a physical extension of Oula’s hybrid care model and represents a major step in the evolution of pregnancy care. According to CDC data, there are nearly 3.8M live births per year in the U.S., and yet perinatal care remains one of the only areas in 21st century America untouched by innovation. Despite the U.S.’ enormous investment of $111B per year on behalf of maternal and newborn care, the U.S. continues to experience the worst maternal health outcomes among developed countries. While patients can already book virtual appointments and access tailored content between visits through Oula’s integrated technology platform, the clinic seeks to further elevate women’s coordinated pregnancy care experience as they navigate key decisions and begin planning their before, during and after birth plans. Immediate in-person services include prenatal and postpartum visits, bloodwork, sonograms, and specialist sessions (including nutritionists and doulas). Additionally, and in an effort to mitigate common feelings of stress, anxiety and isolation that many women experience during pregnancy, Oula patients will also be equipped with at-home devices and kits, such as a blood pressure cuff and fetal monitor, to allow their vital signs to be remotely monitored by their care team in between monthly/biweekly/weekly visits.
