HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sentar Inc. (Sentar), a women-owned business specializing in advanced cybersecurity and intelligence solutions and technology, announced today that Sentar has received an official designation as a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Registered Provider Organization (RPO) from CMMC-AB.
The CMMC RPO affiliation is given to organizations that act as credible providers for CMMC consulting services. Both RPs (Registered Providers) and RPOs act as consultants, but do not conduct Certified Assessments. Sentar has also applied and is waiting to be designated as a CMMC C3PAO, a third-party assessment organization that provides formal CMMC Maturity Level accreditations to DOD contractor organizations.
In order to secure work with DoD, contractors must prepare for a CMMC assessment. Starting this year, contractors will require verification from an independent C3PAO who will be responsible for conducting CMMC assessments.
To be listed as a RPO on the CMMC-AB Marketplace, Sentar signed an RPO agreement with the Accreditation Body and passed an Organizational Background Check.
Additionally, RPs and RPOs have both agreed to the CMMC-AB Code of Professional Conduct to ensure trust in service providers.
