NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MetroPlus Health Plan announced today the appointment of Michelle Reay as Chief Operating Officer (COO) As the health plan owned by NYC Health + Hospitals, with over 600,000 members across the five boroughs, MetroPlusHealth is a vital part of New York City’s initiative to guarantee health care to all New Yorkers. As COO and member of the executive leadership team, Michelle Reay will be responsible for overall management and oversight for product, call centers, facilities, claims management, vendor and outsourced services, project management, and operational performance improvement. Michelle Reay assumed her new role last month.

Michelle Reay is a healthcare professional with over 20 years of administrative and management experience in managed health care operations. She has managed commercial and government programs including TRICARE, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Managed Care, Essential Plan, Commercial and Accountable Care Organization operations. Her operational expertise includes project management, process improvement, compliance, strategy execution, program implementation, contract management, and relationship management. Michelle joins MetroPlusHealth from Crystal Run Health Plans, where she served as Vice President of Operations. Previously, she worked at HealthCare Partners, IPA and Management Services Organization. Michelle earned her Master of Arts, Health Education and Promotion, at Lehman College, City University of New York, and her Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, at Manhattan College.
