RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Worldwide Clinical Trials, Inc., (Worldwide) an award-winning, full-service, midsize, global CRO, has moved its corporate headquarters from Morrisville, N.C., to Frontier RTP, the innovation campus located in the heart of Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina.
This is the latest investment Worldwide has made in delivering an uncommonly rewarding work experience – an important differentiator for the company amid a market saturated with large, undifferentiated CROs. Innovation, flexibility, autonomy and senior management accessibility are hard to come by in large organizations with cumbersome bureaucracies. As part of its aspiration to improve the CRO experience for life sciences clients, Worldwide is capitalizing on its unique position as a global, full-service CRO – with a midsize team – and cultivating an environment where people can thrive, belong and do their best work.
Frontier RTP is known as a hub for creative, entrepreneurial and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) professionals. The location offers meeting and office spaces, educational opportunities, and networking events that encourage collaboration and are tailored to growing businesses, like Worldwide.
“There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution for a clinical trial, or for an employee’s choice of workspace,” said Joy Clark, chief people, strategy and culture officer for Worldwide Clinical Trials. “Our new headquarters shows our commitment to a positive and flexible environment for our employees and customers alike.”
Worldwide pointed to the company’s move as a positive step toward configuring for the future. The move comes at a time of extensive growth for RTP, despite the pandemic, with over $2B in total investment and thousands of new jobs.i By moving its corporate headquarters to the new modular, flexible space in Frontier RTP, Worldwide is supporting business performance, employee engagement and innovation – offering individual employees lots of workspace options so they can choose where and how they work best now and post-pandemic.
“The impact of the pandemic means that our world will operate differently forevermore. Yet, that will not stop us from making investments like this that matter,” said Peter Benton, president and chief operating officer, Worldwide Clinical Trials. “We will stand out within this competitive job market as the best midsize CRO. Worldwide is attracting top talent globally, scaling in new ways and constantly building on our aspirations to improve the CRO experience – for our customers and for our employees.”
The environment Worldwide has created at Frontier RTP will accommodate clinical development team members across all core service offerings, company operations and will be used to host project teams and clients. Right now, approximately 250 of the 2,000+ professionals employed by Worldwide work in North Carolina. The company has also taken this approach to modernizing its offices located within innovative biotech and life science communities across the United States; Western, Central and Eastern Europe; Latin America; and Asia-Pacific.
“RTP welcomes Worldwide Clinical Trials into our diverse community of over 100 companies in Frontier RTP,” says Scott Levitan, president and CEO of the Research Triangle Foundation, the organization that develops and manages Research Triangle Park. “We know they will succeed here in the center of the Triangle Region.”
