A highly regarded, senior litigation attorney having tried more than 70 cases to a jury, Carter comes to FBFK with experience practicing law in a variety of settings – from Big Law to a District Attorney’s office to smaller firms. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and also has a Master of Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Prior to joining FBFK, Carter had a wide range of experience working for a large firm, Vinson & Elkins, litigation boutiques, and her own firm, Stefani Carter & Associates, LLC. Additionally, Carter served as an assistant district attorney with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. She also served as a two-term member of the Texas House of Representatives from the 102nd District.
Carter is also an expert in board governance and SEC compliance and sits on the boards of directors for two public companies, Braemar Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: BHR) and Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust (NASDAQ: WHLR).
