CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dermatology Times®, a leading multimedia platform in the field of dermatology, recently inducted six members into the 2020 Giants of Dermatology™ class. The inductees were welcomed Dec. 8 during a virtual gala.

The Giants of Dermatology™ award recognizes leading physicians and researchers in the field of dermatology whose landmark successes, ongoing inspiration and career-long dedication redefine what is possible for this specialty.
In addition to self-nominations, submissions were accepted from health care and industry professionals. All nominees were vetted by the distinguished Giants of Dermatology™ Advisory Board., which includes Mark G. Lebwohl, M.D.; Daniel Mark Siegel, M.D.; M.S., FAAD; Robert S. Kirsner, M.D., Ph.D., FAAD; C. William Hanke, M.D., MPH, FACP; and Jill S. Waibel, M.D. Members of the board selected the honorees for their significant contributions to the advancement of dermatology based on criteria of excellence in education and training, technology and product innovation, research and discovery, dermatologic surgery, humanitarianism and leadership.

Although COVID-19 protocols made it impossible to honor these outstanding physicians in person, a virtual gala held online with support from Almirall showcased this year’s winners.
