EDISON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spring Hills today announced it has hired veteran healthcare operations and revenue cycle leader Pierre Scott to head the new Spring Hills Management Services Organization (MSO), slated to launch in early 2021. Under Mr. Scott’s leadership as Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Spring Hills MSO will offer billing, administrative and business development services to physicians’ offices.
“Pierre’s significant operational leadership experience in the healthcare sector makes him the ideal person to lead the Spring Hills MSO,” said Alex Markowits, Founder and President/CEO of Spring Hills. “He understands the changing healthcare landscape and knows how to help healthcare providers overcome common challenges and maximize their opportunities for success. We are delighted to have someone with his level of expertise and his reputation for excellence leading this newest endeavor.”
Mr. Scott brings more than two decades of experience to his new post, along with vast experience supporting physicians through business services. He joins Spring Hills from Advocare, a large healthcare group representing 600 physicians. As Chief of Practice Operations, he led the company’s 120 individual locations to operational excellence with a concentration on customer service. As Chief of Revenue Cycle, Mr. Scott managed Advocare’s fiscal wellbeing, overseeing more than $800 million in annual receivables.
Prior to Advocare, Mr. Scott served as vice president of operations at Virtua Medical Group and Health Management Services Organization (HMSO) Lourdes Cardiology and Lourdes Medical Associates. He earned an MBA degree from Villanova University.
“As a healthcare entrepreneur, I’m well aware of the trust required for a physician’s office to enlist the services of an outside management services organization,” Markowits said. “With Pierre at the helm of the Spring Hills MSO, physicians can rest assured that their businesses will be in exceptionally competent hands.”
Along with providing sound operational leadership of the MSO, Mr. Scott plans to enhance its services through data analytics and educating physicians on practice management optimization.
“We don’t just want to manage our clients’ business,” Mr. Scott said. “We want to help build their practices. There are plenty of firms that can handle billing and backend services, but the Spring Hills MSO will go beyond typical management to foster and support development.”
