Christine Redfield has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Group in Palo Alto as Of Counsel. Redfield, widely recognized as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s leading trademark lawyers, has extensive experience in strategic international brand counseling and protection including the development and management of international trademark portfolios, creative brand enforcement strategies, and protection of trademark rights online.

In addition, the firm will elevate Monique Jewett-Brewster to Shareholder on January 1, 2021. Jewett-Brewster, a member of Hopkins & Carley’s Financial Institutions & Creditors’ Rights Practice, has nearly 20 years of experience representing banks, lenders and other creditors in business bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings nationwide. Jewett-Brewster also helps lenders enforce commercial loans in out of court loan workouts and restructurings. She is deeply committed to the legal community and passionate about increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal profession, having served as Chair of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California and Chair of the inaugural Diversity Outreach Committee of the California Lawyers Association; on the boards of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Northern California, the Financial Women's Association of San Francisco, and the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum; and as a member of the California Minority Counsel Program's Ambassador's Council.

She has 25 years of experience focused on strategic international brand counseling and protection, including the development and management of international trademark portfolios, creative brand enforcement strategies and protection of trademark rights online. Prior to joining Hopkins & Carley, she was the Founder and CEO of Redfield IP Professional Corporation. Redfield received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.
Monique Jewett-Brewster (San Jose, Financial Institutions & Creditors’ Rights). Jewett-Brewster joined the firm as an Associate in 2015. She has nearly 20 years of experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcies, and insolvency proceedings, as well as in the workout and enforcement of commercial real estate secured and asset-based lending transactions. Jewett-Brewster served as the 2018-19 Chair of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California and California Lawyers Association (CLA) and currently serves as Co-Chair of the CLA’s Diversity Outreach Committee. She also has served on the boards of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Northern California, the Financial Women's Association of San Francisco, and the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum. She is also an outgoing member of the California Minority Counsel Program's Ambassador's Council. Jewett-Brewster received her J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco.
Jonathan Heller (San Jose, Employment & Labor): Heller joins as an Associate in the firm’s Employment & Labor Department. He advises and represents employers in a variety of employment matters arising under federal, state, and local laws. Prior to joining Hopkins & Carley, he was an associate with Littler Mendelson P.C. Heller also served eight years in the U.S. Army in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he received various awards and commendations for his service.
Michael Manoukian (San Jose, Employment & Labor): Manoukian also joins as an Associate in the firm’s Employment & Labor Department. He represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment legal matters, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Elaisha Nandrajog (Palo Alto, Employment & Labor): Nandrajog comes on board as an Associate in the firm’s Employment & Labor Department.
