Relation Insurance Expands Midwest Presence with Acquisition of Mertz Insurance Group

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Relation Insurance Services (“Relation”), a privately owned insurance brokerage that offers property and casualty, risk management, employee benefits, and TPA-consulting services through its family of brands across the United States, announced today it has acquired the assets of Mertz Insurance Group (“Mertz”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

With operations in Omaha, Nebraksa and Overland Park, Kansas, Mertz is a privately-owned insurance brokerage firm that offers property and casualty insurance and risk management services to the organized labor, labor unions and public entity sectors. The addition of Mertz provides new sector expertise to Relation’s Central Region and strengthens its existing capabilities. Pat Mertz and Paul Dylla join Relation’s Central Region and report to Russell Brown, President of the region.
