Simply Healthcare, Ranked Among Top Medicaid Plans in Florida, Receives Long-Term Care Distinction from NCQA

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Simply Healthcare, one of the top ranking Medicaid plans in the state, recently earned a Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Distinction from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The Distinction recognizes organizations for coordinating LTSS that deliver efficient, effective person-centered care that meets members’ needs.

NCQA’s LTSS Distinction supports health plans in developing best practices for person-centered care planning and effective care transitions, and for measuring quality improvement to support people living optimally in their preferred setting. The program offers distinctions to organizations that meet certain requirements in areas such as:

  • Person Centered Care Planning
  • Care Transitions
  • Coordination of Services
  • Critical Incident Management
  • LTSS Providers Qualifications
  • Member Experience

Simply Healthcare was commended on its extensive case management documentation and holistic approach that encourages member participation and person centered care planning.

“Simply Healthcare is pleased to have received this distinction for our efforts to serve those in need of long-term services and supports,” said Holly Prince, Simply Healthcare Medicaid Plan President. “At Simply, we understand the complexity of health and the important role we play in ensuring members have access to services and supports that can improve overall health and well-being.”

Simply Healthcare’s LTSS program helps older adults and individuals with disabilities remain as independent as possible. It connects members with services provided in the home, or in the community to assist with daily living activities and allow members to be actively involved in the local community. Case Managers work directly with each member to determine needs and develop a person-centered plan to meet those needs, engaging community-based services or facilities that can provide the appropriate level of care for each individual.
