BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zerto, an industry leader in cloud data management and protection, has been named the Leader in the 2020 Software Reviews/Info-Tech Backup and Availability Software Data Quadrant Report with an overall composite score of 8.8 out of 10 and an Emotional Footprint score (which measures customer sentiment) of +94 out of 100. Based on feedback from IT and business professionals, the Zerto Platform was evaluated against other backup vendors with placement determined by user scores across Product Features and Satisfaction alongside Vendor Experience and Capabilities.
The annual report provides a comprehensive evaluation of popular products in the enterprise Backup and Availability Software market, helping purchasers make better decisions by leveraging the experiences of real users. Assessing the ‘Complete Software Experience,’ the report draws on both the user experience and the relationship with the vendor to provide a comprehensive understanding of the product.
“Software Reviews data tells us that customers expect more than a point solution from their infrastructure software providers. Customers like Zerto because of the number and variety of operational use cases it can address: from backup and recovery to migration to testing to analytics all across on-premises and public cloud environments,” said John Annand, research director, infrastructure and operations, Info-Tech Research Group.
He continued: “The more use cases the IT professional can service from a single platform, the happier they make their CFO and the more streamlined they make their operational lives. Of course, minimums of quality must be met, but the breadth of capability, rapid iteration, and integration with other platforms all contribute to the ongoing creation of business value. Our vendor and features satisfaction scores clearly indicate that these key characteristics are responsible for Zerto’s differentiation from the pack.”
For Vendor Experience and Capabilities, Zerto was listed as the Top Product for ‘Business Value Created,’ scoring 84% for its ability to “create value for employees, customers, partners and ultimately shareholders.” Zerto also led for ‘Ease of Data Integration’ with a score of 85%, based on the “increasingly important” ability to easily integrate with other systems.
Evaluated for Product Feature Satisfaction, Zerto was the Top Product across two further report categories. For ‘Backup of Cloud-based Data,’ Zerto scored 87% for its ability to target backups to the cloud and to back up primary data and services already in the cloud. For ‘Replication for High Availability,’ a score of 90% is based on the provision of secondary copy backup and replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.
Zerto was also listed in the top two vendors across eight other report categories, ranging from Breadth of Features, Product Strategy and Usability to Virtual Machine Backup and Replication for Long-Term Storage and Disaster Recovery, among others.
“Zerto’s exceptional performance across these key Info-Tech industry reports is particularly significant given their emphasis on real world user scores,” commented Caroline Seymour, VP of product marketing, Zerto. “We have always worked to understand our customers’ backup and recovery requirements so we can align with their infrastructure strategies. This has been integrated in the fabric of our business from product development to every nuance of the customer experience and provides the focus we need to deliver solutions that make a major difference for organizations around the world. Today’s announcement provides additional validation in the traction and value we bring to the backup and recovery market.”
The report underscores Zerto’s positioning as ‘Overall Vendor Champion’ in Info-Tech’s 2020 Software Reviews Enterprise Backup and Availability Emotional Footprint Report. Published in April 2020, Zerto earned a perfect user score for reliability, integrity, and productivity. Today’s report comes on the heels of additional leading industry analyst reports highlighting Zerto’s leadership in the backup space. These include where Zerto received an Honorable Mention in the Gartner Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions Magic Quadrant and was named as one of DCIG’s TOP 5 Azure Backup vendors.
