Industry Veteran Mike McHenry Joins Techmer PM as COO

CLINTON, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Techmer PM LLC is strengthening its senior management team with the hire of Michael McHenry, a respected veteran in the chemical industry. He recently joined the Clinton-based firm as chief operating officer.

“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with Mike for many years, during his years of serving in leadership positions at BASF and Ciba supporting Techmer’s business,” said CEO/Chairman John Manuck. “And I’m thrilled to be able to add him to the executive team at Techmer.”

Most recently, Mike served as president, CEO and board director of Perrysburg, Ohio-based Master Fluid Solutions, a leading producer of metalworking fluids and associated chemicals. Since assuming those roles in September 2016, he has successfully led all strategic and operational activities within the company’s business globally with operating sites in North America, Europe, China, India, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Prior to joining Master Fluid Solutions, he served as vice president of BASF’s Coating Raw Materials business in North America. He joined BASF in 2009 as part of its acquisition of Ciba Specialty Chemicals, where he was president of Ciba’s Coating Effects Segment in the Americas, and a member of the global leadership team. From 2006-2008, he was vice president and global market center head for Ciba’s Process & Lubricant Additives business.

Mike, who holds a B.S. in chemistry from Rutgers University, is married with three daughters, currently lives in Dutchess County, N.Y., north of New York City, and will work out of Techmer’s Clinton headquarters.
