The stencil kits, which retail from $9.99 - $47.99, provide templates, brushes, and instructions that enable users to create professional-looking eye makeup with ease at home. Miné Stencils feature a patented method for applying eye shadow evenly and quickly. The stencils include positioning markers for symmetrical placement and application of the eye shadow. A second patent for applying layered eye shadow that creates a sophisticated gradient effect is pending. All stencils are made with reusable BPA and phthalate-free food-grade LDPE plastic.
In developing the product, Miné Stencils consulted with makeup artists and tested prototypes on over 100 women of various ethnicities and ages. Based on this research, Miné Stencils designed stencils that are universally applicable regardless of different facial features, such as the size or shape of the eye or the brow height.
