Rapid Technologies Delivers ServiceNow Modernization for Sanford Burnham Prebys

ServiceNow partner implements consolidated ServiceNow solution

LONE TREE, Colo. & SAN DIEGO--()--Rapid Technologies, a Premier ServiceNow partner, recently completed a ServiceNow modernization project for San Diego-based Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute.

As a preeminent, independent biomedical research institute, Sanford Burnham Prebys was an early ServiceNow customer. The Institute wanted to expand its use of the ServiceNow platform across other areas of the organization. It needed to consolidate multiple on-premise instances of ServiceNow into one cloud instance to support the expansion and align with ITIL processes.

Sanford Burnham Prebys began seeking a ServiceNow partner with both the expertise and flexibility to maximize their ROI from the available project budget. After surveying the ServiceNow partner landscape, Rapid Technologies was selected given their experience and deep commitment in giving back to the community.

The internal Sanford Burnham Prebys and Rapid Technologies development teams very quickly aligned, while managing the project with an agile framework. Leveraging best practices, and taking a phased approach, the Institute was able to successfully consolidate their ServiceNow platform into one cloud instance.

Along with moving its on-premise footprint to a streamlined instance in the cloud, Rapid Technologies anticipates that the project will help to reduce overhead related to IT platform maintenance and upgrades by up to 75%. In addition to the efficiencies gained within IT, there are plans to extend the value of the ServiceNow platform to other teams within Sanford Burnham Prebys such as HR and Finance.
