STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XLerant, provider of the leading cloud-based budgeting, forecasting and management reporting software BudgetPak, received a perfect 5.0 score for Ease-of-Use in the BPM Partners Pulse of Performance Management 2020 survey. This is the fifth consecutive year that XLerant’s BudgetPak software was top-ranked with the only perfect score for Ease-of-Use, as well as the fifth year in a row XLerant received the highest score in Customer Satisfaction.
XLerant was also top-rated with outstanding scores in Budgeting/Planning Functionality, Overall Satisfaction, Finance Self-Sufficiency, Innovation, Price/Value, as well as excellence in Reporting Functionality and Performance/Scalability. Published by BPM Partners, the BPM Pulse Survey provides an unbiased and up to date overview of the world of business performance management. The survey results come directly from each vendor’s “users” or customer base.
“XLerant’s intense focus on ease-of-use and best-of-breed budgeting/forecasting capabilities is evident in their consistently outstanding scores year-over-year – particularly in overall customer satisfaction and finance self-sufficiency,” explained Craig Schiff, CEO of BPM Partners. “This is especially important for finance teams considering a BPM investment, because ease-of-use is directly related to post-purchase satisfaction. Among the executives we surveyed this year, the highest dissatisfaction rates were reported with systems that are labor-intensive, not easy to self-administer, or where the process takes too long.”
The BPM Pulse also assesses evolving industry trends and customer priorities for BPM software solutions. Among the 336 finance executives surveyed across North America and Europe in 2020, Ease-of-Use and Financial Self-Sufficiency were ranked among the most important attributes when selecting a BPM solution – with best-in-breed budgeting and forecasting software the most sought BPM solution overall. In addition, the current economic climate is driving a focus on strategic planning, more frequent forecasting, and scenario modeling.
“We were in the middle of our budget cycle when we shifted over 200 employees to home offices in just 2 weeks. We’ve been able to seamlessly continue the process remotely with BudgetPak – while easily adjusting timeframes to ensure our providers and members are our highest priority,” explained Amy Sim, General Accounting Manager, CenCal Health. “Having a distributed solution in place is also providing us with detailed, accurate data for scenario modeling and financial planning during this quickly evolving time.”
“This year’s BPM Pulse results reflect the rapidly changing environment for finance teams and the ongoing importance of real-time data and scenario planning,” shared Joanne E. Brunn, CEO, XLerant. “We’ve been honored to support our customers throughout this rapidly changing time, with a seamless transition to remote work and back again. Finance teams using BudgetPak have been actively engaging and collaborating with staff to get the detailed insight needed to make critical, data-informed fiscal decisions.”
