LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Entertainment law firm Ramo Law PC announced today that three of its attorneys – Michelle Chang, Zev F. Raben, and Alexa Whiteside – have been named to the 2020 Super Lawyers’ list of Rising Stars. Each year, the Rising Stars list identifies the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in California.
“We are thrilled to see our attorneys recognized year after year by contemporaries in the profession and the Super Lawyers organization,” said Founding Partner Elsa Ramo. “We are proud of our 2020 Rising Stars for their professional excellence and commitment to clients.”
Partner Michelle Chang was named to the Rising Stars – Southern California list by Super Lawyers for the second year in a row for her work in entertainment. Guiding and supporting production companies and creatives from conception to completion, Chang represents production companies, producers, distributors and others in bringing their films, documentaries, commercials, new media and short form content to market.
Senior Associate Zev F. Raben was named a Rising Star for the fifth year in a row for his work in entertainment. While his practice is primarily focused on representing financiers and distribution companies, Raben also assists producers in all areas of their creative pursuits. He has worked with producers whose films have been recognized by Sundance Film Festival and SXSW.
Associate Alexa Whiteside joined the firm after graduating magna cum laude (top 5%) from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles in 2017. She provides comprehensive production, distribution, and delivery legal services to producers and filmmakers in the creation of their film, television, and digital content. Whiteside is also an avid copyright and personal rights geek, providing a particular focus and expanding the firm’s work in clearances, licensing, and fair use.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual Rising Star selections are made using a process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews.
