NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Furthering Blueland’s mission to eliminate single-use plastic from everyday products, the brand has reinvented the kitchen essential: dish soap. Blueland’s dish soap offerings are patent-pending, and will include a powder format for handwashing dishes and a tablet form for the dishwasher. The two sustainable formats are innovative and non-toxic yet effective options for a cleaner home.
The powder dish soap dispenses from a sleek, durable, and refillable 16 oz. silicone shaker that replaces traditional dish soap and sits seamlessly atop one’s kitchen sink. Simply pour the powder dish soap onto a wet sponge or directly onto dirty dishes and add water to create a thick foam that scrubs away grease, grime, and stains. Free and clear of dyes, fragrances, triclosan, phosphates and petroleum-based ingredients, the biodegradable non-toxic powder dish soap has been proven by independent third party labs to be effective.
With an innovative, patent-pending formulation, the Blueland dishwasher tablets are one of the only naked dishwasher tablets on the market1. The tablets are made without being individually wrapped in plastic film or PVA like other dishwasher pacs available, ensuring that no plastic is entering the waterways. The specially-designed form factor has been developed to help protect the tablets from potential shipping damages but still dissolve once loaded into the dishwasher for an optimal user experience. The grease-cutting formulation is also derived from natural ingredients and is fragrance-free, non-toxic, and biodegradable. Stored in a chic, refillable tin-coated steel container holding 40 tablets, these tablets are ready to turn your dishwasher into a planet-friendly clean machine.
“From the moment we launched, the number one product our customers have asked us for is dish soap and dishwasher tablets,” said Sarah Paiji Yoo, co-founder and CEO of Blueland. “We worked hard to develop a tablet that wasn’t wrapped in a plastic PVA film to ensure we weren’t putting more plastic into our waterways.”
The Dish Soap Starter Set is $202 and includes the reusable silicone shaker and a 16 oz. packet of powder dish soap, with each refill pack available for $102. The Dishwasher Starter Set is $182 and includes the container and 40 tablets. Dishwasher tablet refill packs of 40 tablets are available for $142! All refills are delivered in compostable packaging.
The powder dish soap and dishwasher tablets are available to purchase together as The Dish Duo for $342. With the launch of dish soap, Blueland introduces a subscription service for its refills. The Dish Duo refill subscription is available at $22 per month, a 10% discount from purchasing refills individually2.
