LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crescent Capital, a leading alternative asset management firm, announced its partnership with Wahlburgers, the Boston-area based restaurant corporation, for its #WhateverYouNeed campaign to feed first responders, hospital workers, grocery workers, other frontline heroes and families in need in 18 cities across North America. The partnership launched with more than 2,600 fresh, hot meals delivered in Boston on April 23 and Worcester, MA on April 29 and expanded yesterday, May 6, with more than 10,000 meals to be delivered across New York City, Los Angeles, Hartford, CT, and Detroit, in conjunction with National Nurses Day.
Crescent Capital Managing Partners Mark Attanasio and Jean-Marc Chapus joined Wahlburgers co-founder Mark Wahlberg, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas, and the President of the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Freddy Escobar, yesterday at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to personally deliver 600 meals to hospital staff.
“Crescent is proud to partner with Wahlburgers to serve the heroes on the front lines in our home base of Los Angeles as well as in communities deeply impacted by the pandemic across the country,” said Mark Attanasio and Jean-Marc Chapus, Managing Partners of Crescent Capital Group. “We have a significant number of employees in New York, Northern New Jersey and Boston, and it was important to us to express our appreciation to those who keep us safe where we live.”
“Crescent is committed to doing what we can to help the hard-working public servants, grocery workers, and healthcare workers as they work to keep our communities safe and healthy,” added Mark DeVincentis, Head of Strategic Partnerships of Crescent Capital Group. “We are grateful to have been able to expand this program across the country to provide meals to both those battling this crisis as well as those greatly impacted by it beyond our own backyard.”
“Not being able to be fully operational these past several weeks has been heartbreaking for our entire organization,” said Mark Wahlberg, co-founder of Wahlburgers. “But that hasn’t stopped our commitment to supporting the communities we serve however we can. Partnering with Crescent Capital has allowed us and our local franchisees to give back the best way we know how, by providing warm meals to the frontline heroes battling this virus each and every day.”
Targeting police precincts, fire stations, hospitals, nursing homes, testing sites, shelters, UPS branches, and more, Wahlburgers has committed to donating thousands of warm meals to support those battling and greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in these markets as part of their #WhateverYouNeed program.
