SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leafly, the world’s leading cannabis information resource, today announced the launch of Leafly Delivery, an expansion to its online ordering platform intended to help meet significant demand from cannabis retailers to provide flexible ordering options. Leafly Delivery joins Leafly Pickup on the company’s online order fulfillment platform. Leafly Pickup, which is available at more than 1,600 retailers in North America, allows consumers to order from participating cannabis stores online and then pick up and pay for purchases in-store or curbside.
“Cannabis stores across the U.S. and Canada are working tirelessly to meet the essential needs of customers while adapting to the realities of COVID-19,” said Tim Leslie, CEO of Leafly. “We’ve seen Leafly Pickup orders increase 176% in the past month as consumers seek out ways to shop local and shop safely. Leafly Pickup and Delivery allows retailers to offer a fast and flexible online shopping and buying experience for their customers who need it most.”
Leafly Delivery is currently available in all states that allow cannabis delivery for recreational and/or medical cannabis, which include Michigan, Maryland, New York, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, and Oregon. Leafly Delivery allows dispensaries who operate their own delivery fleets to streamline online orders with their delivery fulfillment process. Leafly will expand Leafly Delivery into new markets as cannabis delivery policy continues to change.
“People find our store on Leafly all the time. But by offering Leafly Pickup and Delivery we can immediately convert those web visits into House of Dank customers, thanks to the familiar convenience of online ordering. Whether they choose to come pick up in store or have us deliver their products, Leafly Pickup and Delivery make the logistics of processing, managing, and fulfilling online orders very easy, so that we can stay focused on serving our customers,” said Marvin Jamo, owner of House of Dank in Detroit, MI.
“Leafly Delivery is essential to our business. It gives customers a convenient and easy way to support our shop and order online, while making it seamless for us to manage our delivery fleet as part of our workflow. Not only does this enable us to do business during this current moment, but it brings new revenue streams into our business by giving customers flexible ways to shop from us,” said Joanna DeFilippis, director of operations at Blüm Reno and Blüm Desert Inn Las Vegas.
