Legislation Would Protect Access to Home Infusion Therapies for Medicare Part B Patients

CERRITOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KabaFusion, a leading provider of specialty acute and chronic home infusion therapies, today announced its support for the Preserving Patient Access to Home Infusion Act, which was introduced in the United States Congress by a bipartisan coalition of members from both the Senate and the House of Representatives on March 12, 2020, and urges Congress to approve this legislation expeditiously.

Home infusion therapy allows high-risk and vulnerable patients, including those with compromised immune systems, to receive medically necessary treatments in the safety and comfort of their own home. The Preserving Patient Access to Home Infusion Act ensures continued coverage for certain home infusion medications under Medicare Part B and implements the professional services benefit in a manner consistent with what Congress intended in the bipartisan 21^st Century Cures Act.
