New companies enhance Brex Security, Ecommerce Product, and Infrastructure

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Brex, the corporate card that accelerates entrepreneurs and scaling businesses, today announced three acquisitions that add meaningful engineering and product talent to its ranks.

“Brex is committed to helping growing businesses scale, especially in challenging environments,” said Henrique Dubugras, co-Founder and co-CEO of Brex. “We look forward to bringing the talented team members at Neji, Compose Labs and Landria onto the Brex team”.

Neji, a San Francisco-based startup building blockchain and networking technologies for businesses, joined Brex to redouble its security, privacy and risk posture as Brex advances its product development roadmap. Neji specializes in addressing the security and networking challenges of scaling distributed ledgers across hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud deployments. “Protecting customer data and assets is mission critical to us at Brex and so I am very excited to welcome Neji to the Trust team” said Shruti Gupta, Brex Director of Engineering, Trust. The Neji team brings a wealth of experience at organizations including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. Prior to Neji, the team members worked together for over a decade across multiple technology companies.

Compose Labs, a San Francisco-based startup that powers next-generation video experiences, including the popular educational platform CommonLounge, joined Brex to enhance Brex’s rapidly growing Ecommerce product, launched in February 2019. Specifically, the Compose Labs team will expand the quality and sources of Brex Ecommerce underwriting data while also building out valuable expansion products. “Data engineering is critical to the future of our Ecommerce product as Brex seeks to ensure that we have 10x data advantages for all of the customers we underwrite” offered Miguel Rios-Berrios, Brex Director of Engineering, Data. The team has founded several startups together over the last seven years and has experience at Microsoft, MIT and the Indian Institute of Technology.
