CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elite Dental Partners (EDP) has named Adam Burr, DDS, its new chief dental officer. Dr. Burr, who will provide clinical leadership and oversight, comes to EDP with a proven track record of mentorship, leadership and high-level strategic planning.
“Dr. Burr brings a wealth of experience to Elite Dental Partners to help accelerate our commitment to building a world class clinical organization,” said Gaurav Bhattacharyya, CEO of EDP. “His knowledge in owning, operating and practicing in multidisciplinary dentistry, combined with his expertise in continuing education development, publication, presentation and mentorship will help us drive the mission and future success of EDP.”
Dr. Burr will be responsible for overseeing EDP’s clinical program, including continuing education, quality assurance, clinical committees and provider engagement as well as for supporting EDP’s approximately 200 dentists.

Dr. Burr most recently served as a regional clinical director for Pacific Dental Services in Utah, where he helped revitalize the clinical culture of the region. His work led to growth of existing practices and new practice additions, doubling the number of dentists and hygienists and expanding the scope of treatments offered.
He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and has worked at dental practices in New Hampshire, Colorado and Utah. He has developed and taught courses across the country on various dental, operational and leadership topics and recently has been heavily involved in recruiting efforts at universities across North America. He spent time in various Central and South American countries on several dental service missions.
Dr. Burr will replace Scott Kalniz, DDS, as chief dental officer. Dr. Kalniz, who founded EDP, will remain as a strategic advisor to the senior team and a board member.
