MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stampli, an AI-based automation platform that streamlines the accounts payable process, today announced the appointment of Shane Hamby as vice president of product. Hamby is a proven payment technology executive with a 20-year track record leading and scaling product management at Kabbage, PayPal and Intuit. In his new role, Hamby will be responsible for driving Stampli’s product vision by overseeing all product initiatives from design to execution.
“Shane’s proven success with developing and driving new products to market is matched only by his extensive experience within the payments, accounting, and payables industries,” said Eyal Feldman, co-founder and CEO of Stampli. “This rare combination of payment and complex B2B workflows with a consumer-centric approach aligns perfectly with Stampli’s commitment to delivering an award-winning user experience. Shane is uniquely positioned to understand the evolving needs of AP departments and how to provide them with the intuitive tools they need to easily work with so many different people and functions across an organization.”
Hamby’s impressive career includes leading product management and design teams at PayPal, Intuit and most recently Kabbage where he successfully launched Kabbage Payments, the first product line beyond the company’s original lending offering. Prior to joining Kabbage, Hamby was director of product management for mobile at PayPal where he led a team of product managers focused on solving merchants’ needs on mobile and headed up the launch team for PayPal’s first native mobile app designed specifically for merchants to manage their business on mobile. Hamby also spent 19 years at Intuit leading product development efforts for a variety of mobile accounting and small business offerings including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Mobile, Go Payment and Intuit Payroll.
“It’s obvious to me that no company understands – nor appreciates – the critical role that Accounts Payable plays in the overall health of a company more than Stampli,” said Hamby. “In less than five years, Eyal and his team have changed the way AP departments operate by making complex and painful workflows simple and powerful. With the combination of AI and customer-focused design, it really brings a level of ease to managing AP that is a game-changer and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of what’s next for the company and its customers.”
Stampli processes more than $10 billion in invoices each year and was recently named to the Leader Quadrant for Best AP Automation Software, Invoice Management, and Tools for ERP on G2 for Winter 2020. In October 2019 the company closed a $25 million Series B funding round led by SignalFire and has tripled employees in the last year globally.
