Wilshire Associates Announces Leadership Changes

Andrew Junkin departing to pursue other professional challenges

Chief Operating Officer role created to enhance synergies across core businesses

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--Wilshire Associates® (Wilshire) announced today that Andrew Junkin, who has served as President of Wilshire Consulting since 2015, has decided to leave Wilshire to pursue other professional endeavors. Coinciding with his departure, Wilshire has introduced a Chief Operating Officer role to increase synergy across business lines. Jason Schwarz has been promoted into this role and will oversee Wilshire’s Analytics, Consulting, Funds Management and Private Markets businesses. He will continue to serve as a member of Wilshire’s Board and report to Wilshire President, John Hindman.

“The decision to move on from Wilshire is not an easy one. Over the last 15 years, I have developed meaningful relationships across the organization and with clients,” said Junkin. “The time has simply come to tackle my next professional challenge. I look forward to staying in touch and closely following Wilshire’s future successes.”

“Andrew has been a wonderful colleague for 15 years, demonstrating strong leadership and supporting our Consulting clients through market highs and lows. We wish him the very best,” said Hindman. “As Wilshire’s solutions become more complementary and our business lines more cohesive, it is a natural evolution for one individual to oversee our collective suite of services through the role of COO. Jason is the ideal person for the job, given his depth of expertise, track record of success and tenure within the organization.”

Schwarz, who joined Wilshire in 2005, previously served as President of Wilshire’s Funds Management and Analytics businesses. As Chief Operating Officer, Schwarz will oversee the firm’s business activities, ensuring the firm maintains its leadership position in key markets, while seeking new ways to serve clients around the globe. Senior leadership across business lines will report to Schwarz.

“There are obvious synergies across Wilshire’s various businesses and I’m eager to help amplify them for our clients. As a leading provider of multi-asset, hedge fund and private equity investment solutions to both the institutional and retail markets, with a global index and portfolio analytics platform, Wilshire is uniquely positioned to be a complete partner to the asset owner, financial intermediary, and investment manager marketplace,” said Schwarz.
