Allied Van Lines Announces Exclusive Charity Partnership Renewal with The Salvation Army

Simplified Donation Solutions to Help Transform Lives

CHICAGO--()--Allied Van Lines, one of the world’s largest moving companies, is proud to continue its exclusive moving partnership with The Salvation Army, an international charitable organization dedicated to Doing the Most Good. Since the exclusive partnership began in 2015, over 6,400 additional pickups have been scheduled.

Last year to date, there have been 1,019 pick-ups, estimated at a value of $114,600, donated to local Salvation Army family stores. Through a quick scheduling process, unwanted items will be picked up by The Salvation Army, free of charge, and taken to a local Salvation Army store. All proceeds directly fund The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center to help repair the lives of those struggling with substance abuse.

“Allied Van Lines is proud to support The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center where those struggling with substance abuse can find help and a second chance at life,” said Lesli Bertoli, VP and General Manager of Allied Van Lines. “When getting ready to move, many take the opportunity to declutter and downsize. Through our partnership with The Salvation Army, Allied Van Lines customers are able to directly fund adult rehabilitation programs that change lives and restore families.”

"By partnering with Allied Van Lines, we are able to provide people in a busy moving situation with an easy, one-call solution to donate usable, unwanted goods to The Salvation Army,” said Major John Aren, Administrator, Chicago North Side ARC. “All proceeds help beneficiaries find help, hope, and a second chance at life through work therapy, education, counseling and spiritual development.”
