WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InkHouse, an integrated public relations, social media and content agency, today announced the opening of InkHouse Seattle to address demand for technology, consumer and health care PR and digital marketing services in the Pacific Northwest, including in markets like Seattle, Portland and Vancouver. Kate Riley, a Seattle area native and long-time PR agency veteran with experience at Edelman and The OutCast Agency, has joined InkHouse as executive vice president and general manager.
Riley joins InkHouse from Edelman where she helped lead global and US PR campaigns for startups and admired brands like Adobe, Microsoft Xbox and Qualtrix over a span of more than a decade. She also spent time at the Outcast Agency working with Facebook, VMWare and others. At InkHouse, Kate will lead operations for InkHouse Seattle and help spearhead campaigns for some of the agency’s most exciting west coast clients.
“A thriving entrepreneur and startup community with many of its roots in companies like Amazon, Boeing, Microsoft, Nordstrom and Starbucks, has helped Seattle join San Francisco, New York and Boston as an epicenter of innovation,” said Jason Morris, president of InkHouse. “Kate brings tremendous experience leading integrated PR campaigns for market leaders and innovators and, more importantly, shares our belief that a great workplace and culture is the key to outstanding client service. We feel fortunate to have found a people-driven leader like Kate to help InkHouse expand its footprint in the US.”
With household names in technology, health care, consumer, retail and aerospace, Seattle has become a fast-growing hub for startup companies and the venture capital community. InkHouse’s new Seattle office will help support the next generation of change-making companies founded in the Pacific Northwest. The InkHouse Seattle office will also help the firm tap into a talented community of existing and aspiring public relations, content marketing, journalism, design, and social media professionals, and continue to support the growth of existing InkHouse offices in Boston, New York and San Francisco.
“In close to 15 years of working on the agency side of PR, I’ve seen first hand the impact that workplace culture has on agency reputation, client service and ultimately, growth,” said Riley. “I admire what Beth, Jason and the InkHouse team have built over the past 13 years -- a firm that is a strategic PR partner to fast-growing companies serviced by some of the brightest and most empathetic people in the PR industry. I’m excited to help launch InkHouse’s Seattle presence and drive visibility for the amazing innovation coming out of my home region.”
