ALAMO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BETA Healthcare Group (BETA) announced today that its governing body, the BETA Council, after conducting a nationwide search, has selected Corey Grove, Senior Vice President of Insurance Operations to succeed Tom Wander as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wander will begin working immediately with Mr. Grove on the transition prior to him becoming CEO on March 31, 2020, two months before Mr. Wander’s May 31, 2020 retirement date. Mr. Grove has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer effective immediately in advance of the leadership transition.

Prior to being named Senior Vice President of Insurance Operations at BETA in February 2018, where he led all aspects of claims, underwriting, marketing and alternative risk and insurance services, Mr. Grove held the position of Vice President of Underwriting and Client Services. Joining BETA in 1995, he held senior management positions in both marketing and underwriting after an initial role as a professional liability representative in the claims department.
