BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Threat Stack, a leader in cloud security and compliance for infrastructure and applications, today announced it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Container Competency status. This designation reflects Threat Stack’s ability to support AWS services in a way that improves customers’ capability for running workloads on containers.
As an Advanced Technology Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN), Threat Stack works closely with AWS and its customers to help secure and reduce risk across all aspects of cloud infrastructure including containers.
The recent Enterprise Service Group Report “Leveraging DevSecOps to Secure Cloud-Native Applications” found that 56% of survey respondents use containers, highlighting the rapid adoption of container technology. As more organizations begin to leverage the benefits of containers, maintaining consistent visibility and security across the cloud becomes a key component of a successful cloud strategy.
The Threat Stack Cloud Security Platform® provides customers with full stack security observability from the cloud management console, host, containers, orchestration, applications, and serverless layers. At the container layer, Threat Stack offers flexible deployment models with the ability to automate security by building the Threat Stack agent into DaemonSet, configuration management tools, or machine images. Threat Stack also provides customers with pre-built rule sets for Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring they are following container security best practices by default.
The AWS Container Competency validates that AWS APN Partners provide the core container security and compliance needs to enhance customer’s ability to run workloads on containers. Threat Stack’s ability to observe and report on container behavior, and solution integrations with key AWS container services including Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) and AWS Fargate fulfill critical container security needs for customers.
“We are proud members of the AWS Partner Network and work closely with both AWS and our customers,” said Brian Ahern, CEO, Threat Stack. “Achieving AWS Container Competency status is a great milestone for Threat Stack as we continue to help our customers maintain security as they grow their cloud and container deployments.”
AWS is enabling scalable, flexible and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
