DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leeward Renewable Energy ("Leeward”), a leading independent power producer and developer of wind, solar and storage projects, today announced that Steve Trenholm has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Trenholm has extensive experience in the energy industry with a focus on renewable energy. He has held senior management roles at E.ON Climate & Renewables, serving most recently as President, Solar PV and Storage, and previously as Chairman, North America and CEO, Wind North America. In addition to overseeing E.ON’s wind and solar businesses in North America, Mr. Trenholm has been an active board member of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA).
