SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Broadway Bank will award $2,500 each to Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio, Boysville and George Gervin Youth Center, which the organizations will use to further their missions. Broadway Bank received the 2019 FHLB Dallas CARE Award in October from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas). An acronym that stands for “Community Area Revitalization Efforts,” the CARE Award recognizes Broadway Bank’s commitment to affordable housing and community revitalization. As part of the award, Broadway Bank received $7,500 to donate to support community-based organizations of its choice.
The media is encouraged to join local dignitaries and bank representatives at a check presentation at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, at Broadway Bank’s offices at 1177 NE Loop 410 in San Antonio.
Over the last 21 years, Broadway Bank has leveraged more than $3.75 million in FHLB Dallas grant funding to invest in its communities and provide a positive impact on 480 families. Programs include down payment and closing cost assistance for first-time homebuyers, affordable housing grants for the construction of housing for elderly and other special-needs households and housing repair and rehabilitation assistance for veterans.
