CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ekos, the leader in business management software for independent craft beverage companies, today announced the addition of Chief Financial Officer Chris Rosbrook to its executive team.
Rosbrook, who brings more than 20 years of experience in technology, software, finance, and investment banking to his new role, joins Ekos a month after the company completed an $8 million funding round. He will help Ekos invest those funds strategically as it releases new products, enters new verticals and expands its market leadership. Rosbrook will report directly to Ekos CEO Josh McKinney.
Ekos is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and plans to hire an additional 40 people in the coming year.
“Chris was an invaluable resource while we were raising our Series A, and we’re excited to bring him onto our growing team,” said McKinney. “His background in investment banking and experience scaling a fast-growing startup will be incredibly valuable as we continue to position Ekos as the market leader in business management software for the craft food and beverage industry.”
“I am very excited to join Ekos and support the company’s next stage of growth. Josh and CTO Greg Forehand have built a compelling product and an exceptional team which is poised for still greater success following the recent funding round,” said Rosbrook. “I also appreciate their commitment to Charlotte’s increasingly vibrant technology industry and believe that Ekos will be a leader within this dynamic community.”
Rosbrook joins Ekos from MapAnything, where he served as CFO and led all aspects of finance, both strategic and operational. In his time at MapAnything, he helped the company raise $75 million in equity capital, acquire a complementary software company and negotiate MapAnything’s acquisition by Salesforce. Prior to MapAnything, he served as managing director at Piper Jaffray Companies, an investment bank and asset management firm, and spent nine years at Edgeview Partners, a boutique investment bank that advises middle-market clients. He began his career at MAGMA Foundry Technologies, Inc., an engineering software startup.
Rosbrook holds an MBA in finance and strategic management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University, and a bachelor's degree in applied and engineering physics from Cornell University.
