NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Helbiz, a global leader in micro-mobility, today announced an $8 million investment from Forever Sharing, a China-based leader in the production of electric smart mobility vehicles and a subsidiary of the Zhonglu Group (“Zhonglu”), to help accelerate its global growth.

As a result of this partnership, Forever Sharing will supply Helbiz with 20,000 electric bicycles and e-scooters by the end of 2019 to deploy globally. All of the certified vehicles will be in compliance with both European and American regulations. Several of the models will be custom designed exclusively for Helbiz using Helbiz’s proprietary technology. Additionally, Forever Sharing will play a key role in supporting Helbiz in developing mobility-sharing services around Asia and other markets and will also supply geo-fence equipped bicycles and e-scooters for optimizing fleet management.
Phase one of this partnership will consist of the launch of a new electric bike sharing service that is built upon Helbiz’s established e-scooter service. The service, which will be accessible to all users within the next few weeks, is based on the company’s innovative electric bike named “Greta.” Equipped with a 250W motor and a battery of 14 AH, Greta will guarantee a range of up to 80 km on a single charge and reach a maximum speed of 25 km/hour.
