BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Halloran Consulting Group, a life science regulatory, quality and clinical consulting firm, today announced several key changes to its executive leadership team, including the promotions of Greg Dombal to President, Tania Zieja to Chief Financial Officer and Katie McCarthy to Chief Development Officer. Additionally, Halloran announced its continued investment in the San Diego life science community with the expansion of its operations.
Beyond the executive leadership promotions, Halloran has increased its headcount to over 90 full-time employees with key principal hires in the regulatory, clinical and quality practices. Mr. Dombal will retain his role as Chief Operating Officer and continue to oversee business operations within the company. Laurie Halloran will continue in her role as Chief Executive Officer and Chairwoman of the Board with an increased focus on business and market development, expansion of the firm’s management consulting opportunities and existing corporate and leadership relations.

Mr. Dombal joined Halloran Consulting Group in 2007 as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2008. He brings over 25 years of worldwide regulatory affairs, quality assurance and clinical development experience with a willingness to challenge conventional, conservative approaches and find the best solution for each company and its products. Prior to joining Halloran, he led the clinical, regulatory and quality functions for ArQule. Prior to ArQule, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Burroughs Wellcome, DepoTech Corporation, Genzyme and Antigenics. Mr. Dombal earned a B.S. in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a certified PROSCI change management professional from Colorado State University. He is involved with several non-profit organizations; as an advisor to the Fit Girls Foundation, past president of Marblehead Youth Baseball; and was a founding board member of the TriROK Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to eliminating childhood obesity.
Ms. Zieja joined Halloran Consulting Group in 2012 as Acting Controller, with increasing responsibility and was named CFO in 2019. With more than 20 years of experience in Accounting, Ms. Zieja manages Halloran’s Human Resources, Accounting and Finance Departments. Ms. Zieja strives to build and maintain a culture at Halloran that not only attracts and retains top talent but one that truly embodies our core values of doing the right thing, having expertise with personality, showing mutual respect and getting it done together. Ms. McCarthy joined Halloran Consulting Group in 2011 from Biogen, where she had been responsible for Program and Alliance Management. Ms. McCarthy leads Halloran’s development business, which includes practices that focus on clinical development & operations, regulatory, quality, and strategy & program leadership. She has extensive experience creatively crafting development strategies for programs and portfolios, directing development functions and activities, and leading cross-functional drug development programs through all stages of development. Ms. McCarthy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT. She is also a Prosci® certified Change Management professional from Colorado State University. Ms. McCarthy is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and often focuses on topics related to best practices in clinical development and is on the Board of Advisors for Life Science Cares.
