Deluxe Corporation Brings Business Makeovers to Lucky Entrepreneurs in Season 4 of Small Business Revolution

Show chronicles how Deluxe marketing experts, products and services revitalize businesses in one small town community

SHOREVIEW, Minn.--()--Deluxe Corporation today announced the launch of Season 4 of the highly acclaimed original series, Small Business Revolution. This season’s eight episodes will begin streaming on October 8.

Deluxe Corporation, a Trusted, Tech-Enabled Solutions Company™, created the Small Business Revolution in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the power and passion of small businesses across the country. Each season, Deluxe invests $500,000 into the revitalization of one town’s Main Street through its small businesses. By providing business makeovers, financial advice, and investing in physical improvements, Deluxe showcases its commitment to small businesses through the series, which airs on www.smallbusinessrevolution.org, Hulu and Amazon Prime.

In the last four years, more than 30,000 small- and medium-sized communities across the country have been nominated for the chance to be featured on Small Business Revolution and benefit from business makeovers from Deluxe, such as new logos, websites, payroll services, promotional products, apparel and more. The fourth season features the southern community of Searcy, Arkansas, and the incredible businesses that call this town home. Searcy earned the most votes of six finalist towns from across the country to win Season 4. Nominations for the next season will also open on Oct. 8.

“Our Season 4 episodes are among our most powerful and compelling,” said Amanda Brinkman, Chief Brand Officer at Deluxe and co-host of the show. “The businesses in Searcy really embraced the tools, products and business advice the Deluxe team provided, and they all took to heart their ability to showcase why they love being small businesses owners.”

Deluxe chose six businesses from hundreds nominated in Searcy to receive physical and marketing makeovers. Each episode chronicles the marketing and business challenges faced by small business owners and how Deluxe marketing products and services, along with physical makeovers paid for by Deluxe, help the businesses turn the corner. This year’s businesses span a wide array of industries:

  • a Filipino restaurant;
  • a non-profit climbing center;
  • a female-owned yoga studio;
  • a woodworking start-up;
  • a Hispanic grocery store; and
  • a coffee and crepe shop.

In addition to Brinkman and other Deluxe business experts, Season 4 stars revitalization icon Ty Pennington and six Minnesota leaders nationally recognized as experts within their respective fields, including a newly crowned James Beard™ Award-winning chef, Ann Kim. Working together, the crew takes on unique business challenges presented by the six Searcy businesses.

“These businesses and the stories we are sharing are truly remarkable,” Pennington said. “What the Deluxe team is doing to rebuild and restore them is something all small business owners should watch and from which they should learn. I’m excited to see where we end up now for Season 5. It is time to nominate your community!”

Searcy has endured its ups and downs over the years, thriving as an agricultural and oil town, and suffering when those industries faced downturns. A college town located in the northwest corner of Arkansas, Searcy is coming back today due to its small businesses. Located in the nation’s Bible Belt, this town, in a dry county, is finding an identity as a progressive community while holding on to its historically Christian roots.

Deluxe launched the Small Business Revolution in 2015. The first three seasons shared the inspiring stories of Wabash, Indiana; Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania; and Alton, Illinois. The series captures the struggle to run a business and the triumph of a community coming together. Nominations for Season 5 are open from Oct. 8-22 at www.smallbusinessrevolution.org.
