SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Thumbtack, the app that finds you local professionals for almost anything, today expanded its Thumbtack Partner Network with Nextdoor, Inc. launching as an initial partner. This partnership will help members of the world’s largest social network for the neighborhood instantly match with Thumbtack pros nationwide, driving more business to small businesses.
“Our platform connects local service professionals with consumers looking to get more done across 500+ categories. Now, we can help you find your people not only on Thumbtack, but also across Nextdoor communities nationwide,” said Marco Zappacosta, CEO and co-founder of Thumbtack. “The world is evolving from word of mouth referrals offline to instant matches online. With Thumbtack, you can find the right pro in your neighborhood for any project on your to-do list.”
Approximately 20 percent of conversations on Nextdoor focus on home recommendations from plumbing to housecleaning and remodeling to furniture assembly, all of which are local services that Thumbtack offers. Through this integration, Thumbtack pros who are focused on home, events, wellness, and more will now appear within Nextdoor search results and on Nextdoor business pages, yielding increased exposure for local business owners.
“Connecting neighbors with skilled, reliable local service providers and helping local professionals build successful businesses is core to building community,” said Nextdoor CEO Sarah Friar. “We are thrilled to be launching Nextdoor’s Local Partnership Network, with industry leaders like Thumbtack, to make it easier for our members to find trusted local services to get jobs done in their everyday lives.”
Together, Thumbtack and Nextdoor will leverage their shared passion for making consumers’ lives easier by providing a seamless method of hiring local, neighborhood pros to ensure they can get any job done. When Nextdoor members search for local services, they will be able to instantly choose a Thumbtack pro directly from within Nextdoor's own experience. Thumbtack pros will also have the opportunity to have business pages on Nextdoor where members can recommend pros to their neighbors.
Thumbtack launched its Partner Network to help pros and customers alike. Now, customers can find pros on the Thumbtack website and app as well as across the web, and pros can use one Thumbtack experience to reach even more customers. The company will continue to add to its growing roster of partners.
