“Our team is proud to have our roots here in the greater Boston area, a part of the country that has such a long and fascinating history that naturally ties in with Halloween and hauntings,” says Benjamin Selecky, co-creator of Ravenwood Haunted Farm. “We wanted to take our collective experience in working with successful haunted farms, locally and nationally, and bring a fresh experience to the region. Our team has collaborated with experts who have worked on movies and national amusement parks to deliver the newest, thrilling fall festivity.”
Ravenwood Haunted Farm is located on Chris’ Farm Stand in Haverhill. Started by the Stasinos family in 1970 when Chris Stasinos was nine years of age, the farm stand has grown over time and remains a family run business with the fourth generation of sustainable, family farmers getting ready to take the reins. This local farm grows a wide variety of natural farm fresh vegetables, fruit, honey, eggs, Thanksgiving turkeys, and is known for its award-winning pumpkins.
Agritourism activities like Ravenwood Haunted Farm help support local farms by introducing new visitors for activities such as apple picking, hayrides, corn mazes, and now, something for after dark. By becoming the location for Ravenwood Haunted Farm, Chris and Marlene Stasinos are helping to bring a unique, haunted experience to the North Shore.
“Our family has been active in the local community for nearly 50 years,” says Marlene Stasinos, creative partner for Ravenwood Haunted Farm and co-owner of Chris’ Farm Stand. “Chris’ Farm Stand also holds several additional fall activities, including an annual Pumpkin Festival every weekend in October and other family festivities. We are excited to continue that tradition, sharing our farm to help create a memorable evening for guests."
In addition to multiple sets, Ravenwood Haunted Farm consists of a short hayride through the farm, a walking trail, and haunted corn maze. It is staffed with many characters and monsters that will both scare and entertain guests.
Tickets may be purchased online in advance or at the door for an additional $5. Concessions will also be available for visitors.
