Family-owned maker of Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese celebrates by giving back to the Hispanic community

CHICAGO--()--Award-winning producer of Mexican cheese, chorizo, and crema, V&V Supremo® Foods, Inc., is declaring September 25th National Quesadilla Day, offering consumers a variety of ways to enjoy authentic quesadillas made with Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese while continuing its focus on supporting the local community.

According to a recent survey conducted by the brand, one in three Americans are making quesadillas on a weekly basis. However, even though 57% of Americans believe authentic Mexican cheese is the most important component of a delicious quesadilla, many are using inauthentic cheese blends.* To make a truly authentic Mexican quesadilla, V&V Supremo® invites consumers to use Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese, a traditional Mexican melting cheese made with real ingredients and taste that has been crafted over generations.

In honor of the new national holiday, which falls during National Hispanic Heritage Month, V&V Supremo® is reinforcing its commitment to the community. For every photo of a quesadilla made with Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese shared on social media, tagging @vvsupremo and using #NationalQuesadillaDay, the company will donate $1 to the United Neighborhood Organization (UNO), a Chicago non-profit empowering the Hispanic community.**

For those living in the company’s hometown of Chicago, V&V Supremo® is also offering a number of National Quesadilla Day events on September 25th. A branded food truck will be touring around the city, offering free authentic quesadillas made with Chihuahua® Brand Cheese at select locations here. Consumers can also elect to visit a number of Chicago-based participating restaurants offering quesadilla specials featuring Chihuahua® Brand Cheese. By sharing their experiences at the food truck or participating restaurants via social media, tagging @vvsupremo and using #NationalQuesadillaDay, they will also activate a $1 donation to UNO**.
