Amazon Announces New Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Air Hub to Start Operations in October – Facility to Create 300 New Jobs

This facility—the company’s latest investment in Texas—will support Amazon Air

DALLAS--()--Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced its Regional Air Hub at the Fort Worth Alliance Airport will open in October. The Regional Air Hub is the first build-to-suit airport project of its kind in the Amazon Air network and was designed to support Amazon Air’s larger scale regional needs, including sortation capability and infrastructure to handle multiple flights daily.

Amazon expects this facility to create 300 new full-time jobs over time as operations reach full capacity. The new Regional Air Hub will include daily flights and allow Amazon to further serve its customer base in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Amazon Career Day

To help job seekers connect with their next career opportunity, Amazon will hold six informational and networking events next Tuesday, September 17th in Dallas, Chicago, Boston, Nashville, Seattle and Arlington, Virginia – the site of the company’s second headquarters in North America. In Dallas, the event will be from 11:30 am to 7 pm at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. Amazon Career Day events will feature businesses across Amazon, and recruiters will be on-hand to talk with candidates about corporate roles at our 18 Tech Hubs, as well as within our customer fulfillment, delivery, and retail facilities. In addition to the positions available at the company, the events will include informational sessions on how to be your own boss with help from Amazon by selling on Amazon, starting your own delivery company becoming a Delivery Service Partner, or publishing your own book.
