Austin’s Sunfield Master-Planned Community Ranks in Top 30 Nationally for Mid-Year Sales by Prestigious Real Estate Firm

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Sunfield, a 2,400 acre new home development located just south of Austin, announced today it has been ranked in the Top 30 in mid-year sales nationally for master-planned communities (MPCs) by real estate consulting firm RCLCo. Sunfield sold 245 new homes the first half of the year, ranking it sixth in the state in new home sales, a 41 percent increase over this time last year.

Sunfield opened its hugely popular Lazy River Amenity Center this summer. The 1,000-foot lazy river winds through the community, which also features a lagoon pool, waterfall and activity pool. The ranking of RCLCo’s top-selling communities is based on total net new home sales as reported by each individual community. To be included, MPCs must be developed with a strong vision and comprehensive plan that guide development and unify the community. This is accomplished through distinctive signage, wayfinding, entry features, landscaping, and architectural/design standards that foster an environment of community.

As an established neighborhood, Sunfield currently has 1,200 homeowners with an expected 6,900 homes at build out. Fourteen new model homes are open in the development on Cherrystone Street overlooking the lazy river. Homes are priced from the high $190s to $400s and feature builders Centex, Pulte, Gehan Homes, CastleRock Communities, Chesmar Homes and William Lyon Homes.
