Beverly Hills Courier Under New Ownership

City officials, Residents and Business Leaders Hail Courier’s New Chapter

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--()--The Beverly Hills Courier announced today that it has been sold to a Beverly Hills-based investment group. The change of ownership took effect August 30.

Known as the “Voice of the World of Beverly Hills,” the Courier was founded in 1965. The legacy publication has changed hands only twice before in its 54-year history.

The Beverly Hills Courier’s new owner, BH Courier Acquisition, LLC, is led by managers John Bendheim and Lisa Bloch. As residents and business owners, both have long-standing ties to the community. The two will serve as publishers and plan to implement changes in editorial direction, content strategy, as well as print and web design.

City officials, residents and business leaders welcome the reset for the legendary Beverly Hills Courier.

“Our world-class city deserves a world-class publication. Under the new ownership, I know that the ‘voice’ of Beverly Hills will be vibrant, thorough and responsive to the needs of our great city,” said Beverly Hills Councilwoman Lili Bosse.

Beverly Hills councilman Julian Gold, M.D., commented, "I am excited to welcome the new owners of the iconic Beverly Hills Courier. I know they will bring a fresh new perspective to the paper while building on its historic past. I wish them well in this new endeavor.”

Todd Johnson, president and chief executive officer of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, added, “The Courier has been a strong advocate and voice of the community for many years. The Chamber looks forward to a successful partnership with the distinguished publication as it transitions to new ownership.”

The Beverly Hills Courier offices will remain at their long-time location in the heart of the city’s Golden Triangle.
