CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phillips Edison & Company, Inc. (“PECO” or the “Company”), an internally-managed real estate investment trust (“REIT”) and one of the nation’s largest owners and operators of grocery-anchored shopping centers, has appointed Elizabeth Fischer and Jane Silfen to its board of directors, effective November 1, 2019. With Ms. Fischer’s and Ms. Silfen’s appointments, the board will increase to nine total members with eight serving independently.

Fischer joined Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in 1998 and most recently served as Managing Director of the Bank Debt Portfolio Group from 2010 until her retirement in May 2019, where she managed Leveraged Finance led syndicated loans. Fischer also served four years as co-head of Goldman Sachs’ firmwide Women’s Network. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Fischer worked at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) and KPMG LLP. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.
Silfen is the founder and owner of Mayfair Advisors LLC, which was founded in 2019 to advise clients on sustainability and clean technology investment opportunities. Since 2015, Silfen has also been a Vice President at Mayfair Management Co., Inc., a New York City-based family office, where she is responsible for overseeing and making public and private investments. Silfen began her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and later served as Vice President at Encourage Capital, LLC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master in Public Policy and Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
